MINIMUM QUALIFICATION & REQUIREMENT

1. Degree or MNQF Level 7 Qualification in Computer Science or Information Technology with minimum 3 years’ experience in Telecom Industry or relevant field. (OR)
2. Advanced Diploma or MNQF Level 6 Qualification in Computer Science or Information Technology with minimum 5 years’ experience in Telecom Industry or relevant field. (OR)
3. Minimum 7 years of experience in Telecom Industry with Professional Certifications such as CCNA/CCNP.

OVERALL SCOPE
The Network Specialist is responsible for managing and carrying out all the tasks in the Networking Operation/Service Operation Centre in Hulhumale’.

SCOPE OF WORK
• Overseeing the deployment and management of infrastructure hardware including telecommunications, routers, switches, firewalls and ISP-provided devices, through internal or third-party resources.
• Preparing System recovery, Backup processes and Disaster recovery plans.
• Identifying and initiating problem resolution for issues associated with networking, server and storage equipment (Hardware and software).
• Handling and managing customer faults.
• Optimizing infrastructure configuration to ensure efficient, reliable and consistent performance.
• Leading the second level escalations to customer/client faults.
• Performing regular checks on the network hardware and software.
• Developing new products and taking them from concept to a successful market launch.
• Monitoring and analyzing market, technology trends and the competitive landscape to identify potential new product and service ideas.
• Identifying and prioritizing customer requirements for product development.

JOB SKILLS AND SPECIFICATIONS
• In-depth knowledge of LAN, WAN, VPN and wireless networking technologies.
• Knowledge of IP subnetting, routing and switching, VLAN creation/management, IP address management.
• Knowledge of Private WAN, VPN, Metro Ethernet.
• Knowledge of Routing protocols (BGP, OSPR, EIGRP), SIP/RTP and QOS.
• Possesses strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proven track record of executing calmly against tough deadlines.
• Knowledge of current network hardware, protocols and Internet standards, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, RADIUS, SMTP, FTP, VOIP.
• Advanced troubleshooting and multi-tasking skills.
• knowledge of Passive Optical Network and other Telecommunication equipment will be an added advantage.
• Strong understanding of Data Analytics.
• Previous experience working on platform products, particularly working with multiple vendors.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with clear, actionable plans.
• Ability to effectively communicate, sell ideas and influence, build your vision.

SALARY PACKAGE:

Salary negotiable based on educational qualification and experience.
