ASSISTANT MANAGER

QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • Degree or MNQF Level 7 Qualification in Accounting and Finance or ACCA/CIMA Skill level completed (AND)
  • Minimum of 2 years of work experience in a similar field.
  • Demonstrate excellent IT skills with a good command of Microsoft Excel , and use of computerized accounting systems.
  • Good knowledge and experience of Financial Accounting, Accounting Standards (IAS & IFRS)
  • Analytical skills with ability to evaluate financial data
  • Determined and highly motivated, with ability to work without close direction.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • High level of integrity, accuracy, dependability, enthusiasm, and confidentiality.
  • Must possess initiative, be reliable, dependable, eye for detail and be able thrive under pressure.
  • Ability to manage accounting staff and MIS reports to meet targets and deadlines.

     IMPORTANT RESPONSIBILITIES MAY INCLUDE, BUT NO LIMITED TO:

  • Maintain company ledgers and daily financial transactions
  • Preparing and processing of month end reports
  • Processing of accruals, prepayments and subsequent journals
  • Preparing applicable tax reports, relevant daily reports for management and team members
  • Prepare and execute operational budget and prepare variance reports as and when necessary.
  • Handling accruals and prepayments
  • Sorting financial documents and posting them to the proper accounts
  • Maintain monthly reconciliations of cash and bank records to ensure accuracy and control.
  • Analyze and interpret financial data and prepare financial reports.
  • Overseeing or assisting with the Fixed Assets Register
  • Assisting with the preparation of budgeting and forecasting reports
  • Ensure that accounts and financial reports that are prepared in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standard (IFRS).
  • Assist Financial Managers and other team members to successfully execute various accounting tasks
  • Verify payments and deposits made through the company account and coordinate with the bank
  • Work closely with external auditors and internal auditors and provide them with the required materials.
  • Other ad hoc accounting duties to support the broader team

  • Basic Salary: MVR 10,000/-
  • Service Allowances: MVR 3000/-
  • Attendance Allowance: MVR 2500/-
  • Fixed Allowance: MVR 2500/-
  • Hardship Allowance: MVR 1500/-
  • Phone Allowance: MVR 450/-

     WORKING HOURS:

  • 08:00am to 16:00pm (Sunday to Thursday; and Saturdays if needed).
