Salary

• Maintain and operate all related machineries onboard reefer- freezer ships which operate buying, storing and transportation of tuna in Maldives coastal waters.
• Oversee daily routine operations of engine room and communicate to the office between department on ship and within his department.
• Arrange and carry out preventive maintenance program for all ships’ machinery and equipment; and try to minimize unexpected break downs of machinery and equipment
• Maintain an appropriate inventory for any spare parts, filters, extra fuel and oil and other parts that may be needed for running and operation maintenance. This inventory must be kept up to date.
• Maintain proper log of machinery operations and maintenance work.
• Must work within a possible smallest team to ensure that all maintenance is completed efficiently and in depth.
• Keep working environment safe and tidy always

Key Responsibilities

• Must have completed not less than two year trade certificates on Mechanical/Marine engineering.
• Valid CoC Chief Engineering, nor less than 1500KW on open sea issued by a recognized institute.
• Documented minimum 24 months practical experience as Second Engineer.
• Management experience and experience with good Reefer Freezer Vessel will be an added advantage.
• Should be physically fit to work on board.
• Should be fluent in English written and Oral.
