1. The Government of Maldives have received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the Maldives: Enhancing Employability and Resilience of Youth (MEERY) Project, and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contracts for Setting up of Augmented Reality and Virtual Reality (ARVR) Learning Environment at Maldives Polytechnic.
2. The Ministry of Higher Education of Maldives now invites sealed Bids from eligible Bidders for the set-up of ARVR system and all related equipment and furniture within 4 months to Maldives Polytechnic.
3. Bidders may bid for one or several contracts, as further defined in the request for bids document. Bidders wishing to offer discounts in case they are awarded more than one contract will be allowed to do so, provided those discounts are included in the Letter of Bid.
4. Bidding will be conducted through international competitive procurement using a Request for Bids (RFB) as specified in the World Bank’s “Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers” Procurement in Investment Project Financing- Goods, Works, Non-Consulting and Consulting Services, July 2016 Revised November 2017 and August 2018 introduced by the Bank under the Procurement Framework (“Procurement Regulations”), and is open to all eligible Bidders as defined in the Procurement Regulations.
5. Interested eligible Bidders may obtain further information from Ms. Afaaf Mohamed Saeed, S. Procurement Specialist, Project Management Unit, Ministry of Higher Education, Email: [email protected]. and inspect the bidding document during office hours 0900 – 1300 Maldives Time at the address given below.
6. The bidding document in English may be downloaded by interested Bidders upon the submission of a written application to the address below and from the project website (https://meeryproject.mohe.gov.mv) free of charge. The document will be sent electronically. Latest information related to bid will be downloadable and updated in the project website.
7. Bids must be delivered to the address below on or before 30th December 2020 (Wednesday) 1300 hours Maldives Time. Electronic Bidding will not be permitted. Late Bids will be rejected. Bids will be publicly opened in the presence of the Bidders’ designated representatives and anyone who chooses to attend at the address below on 30th December 2020 (Wednesday) 1300 hours Maldives Time.
8. All Bids must be accompanied by a Bid Security of:
