TERMS OF REFERENCE FOR ACCOUNTING EXECUTIVE

POST: - ACCOUNTING EXECUTIVE            

REPORTING RELATIONSHIP: - REPORTING TO MANAGING DIRECTOR

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DELIVERABLES:

1)      General accounting tasks, including reconciling and maintaining balance sheet accounts and general ledger operations, preparing journal entries, preparing monthly closing and financial reports, preparing account/bank reconciliations.

2)      Perform finance analysis, reporting and management tasks.

3)      Oversee the validation of transactions and verification of their overall impact on the general accounts.

4)      Able to use Accounting Software such as QuickBooks.

5)      Review financial paperwork and procedures, provide recommendations and make necessary changes.

6)      Ensure all expenses are within assigned project budget and verify the completeness of all required supporting documentation for all payment’s vouchers.

7)      Prepare payments, bank transfers and do the bank transactions.

8)      Produce periodic financial reports and other financial documents.

9)      Prepare invoice to the projects for services and cost.

10)    Ensure account receivables and payables activities are performed accurately and timely.

11)    Settle amounts due, or recover outstanding receivables.

12)    Identify and resolve invoicing issues, accounting discrepancies and other financial related issues.

13)    Assist in designing, implementing, and maintaining audit-compliant internal financial controls.

14)    Prepare and coordinate financial audit.

15)    Ensure timely and effective follow up to audit observations and recommendations.

16)    Update the Managing Director on financial status of the organization.

Administrative-Related Responsibilities:

1)      Ensure proper and complete documentation and filing for easy retrieval of all accounting related documents.

2)      Identify and provide feedback and suggestions to management related to improvements of policies, procedures, processes and financial systems and related programs;

3)      In collaboration with the Administrative Officers, implement procurement of goods and services in accordance with the prevailing policies and procedures, obtain written requests for quotations, tracking items ordered, and maintain inventory control.

4)      Perform other duties as assigned by the Managing Director.

 

 

REQUIREMENTS:

1)      Completion of Bachelor Degree in Accounting or Finance or relevant professional qualification.

2)      Minimum 2-3 years of experience in relevant field.

3)      Ability to prepare and maintain the full set of Accounts.

4)      Experience in Accounting software such as QuickBooks.

5)      Fluent in oral and written English and Dhivehi.

6)      High level attention to detail and accuracy.

7)      Ability to follow through on tasks.

8)      Flexible, creative, responsive, able to take initiative, open to learning.

9)      Reliable.

10)    Able to work within systems and procedures, work effectively in a small team environment involving the sharing of information and at times sharing workloads.

11)    Able to analyze and integrate potentially conflicting numerical, verbal and other data from a number of sources.

12)    Willing to demonstrate, apply and share expert technical knowledge across the organization.

13)    Able to work independently and multi-task and meet deadlines.

 

 

REMUNERATION:

Monthly: MVR 18,000 – MVR 20,000
