SAARC CULTURAL FESTIVAL ON TRADITIONAL DANCE - 2018
SAARC Cultural center’s SAARC Cultural Festival on Traditional Dance will take place during the beginning of December this year at Host Member State of Nepal. The Festival will celebrate the diversity of cultural dance across the Regions, recognizing ethnicities and the artistic talents and unique abilities of the people of the SAARC Region in order to educate, promote and to provide opportunities on an international platform.
This festival focuses on specifically traditional dance from the region with daily performances, as an interactive dance workshop for artists. The member states have been invited to nominate a maximum of 7 participants including traditional dancers, accompanying musicians and a team leader.
Nomination Procedure and Deadline
-Participants/Troup must send their names with the relevant 50-word biographical information and contact details.
-The biographical information of participant should include;
* Brief description of their specific form of dance
* High resolution (minimum 300dpi) photograph of the participants
* 5 high resolution (minimum 300dpi) photographs of dance troupe in performance, if available and appropriate
* Contact details of participant
-Note that this information will be included in the official brochure being prepared for the Programme.
* The deadline for applications is 13:30hrs of Tuesday, 16th October 2018.
Regarding logistical support:
-Participants will have to bear the cost of airfare.
-All local hospitality including accommodation, meals and local transfers, will be provided by the SAARC Cultural Centre for the officially nominated participants from the honored Member States, for the official duration of the Programme
-All artists are encouraged to bring any relevant specific tools and specialist materials that they may require for use during the course of the SAARC Cultural Festival on Traiditional Dance 2018.
