Procurement Officer (PO)
The Government of the Republic of Maldives through the Ministry of Environment (ME) is implementing “Water Supply Systems” financed by Green Climate Fund (GCF) and intends to apply part of the proceeds for the services of a full time Procurement Officer (PO) to assist the water projects administered by the Ministry of Environment in collaboration with United Nations Development Project (UNDP).
The objective of this assignment is to conduct/coordinate procurement activities being undertaken for the water supply projects administered by the Ministry of Environment in collaboration with United Nations Development Project (UNDP) with the responsibility for ensuring compliance with the donor agencies guidelines on procurement of consultant’s goods and works. The Ministry of Environment now invites interested eligible individual consultants to submit their application.
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the position the individual is expected to demonstrate the requirements as per the attached ‘Terms of Reference”
Schedule for the Assignment
Duration of the assignment is 12 months from the commencement of the works with potential extension based on performance and need. The successful candidate is expected to commence the services in December 2019.
Renumeration
Successful individual will be paid an all-inclusive monthly fee of MVR 24,030.

The expressions of interest must be submitted to the address below (in person to the ministries reception or by email) no later than 1200 hours on 11th December 2019. Submissions submitted by hard copy should state the Job title, Address in this advertisement, and the submission deadline of the advertisement. Emails submissions should have the name of the applicant and the job tile in the Subject of the email. The ministry will send a confirmation of receipt via email.
Documents to be Submitted
- Letter of Expression of interest
- Curriculum Vitae (clearly stating the starting and ending month for previous experiences)
- Copy of National ID Card
- Accredited copies of Academic Certificates (Documents accepted are copy of accredited certificates/ Letter of completion from the university together with a written document from Maldives Qualification Authority stating that the course completed is accredited to a certain level.)
- Candidates currently working in the Civil Service should provide a letter of no objection from their current employer.
Note: Shortlisted candidates will be asked to submit sample Portfolio of Previous works in a presentation format.
