 Role and Responsibilities

• Maintains, diagnoses and repairs a variety of equipment including; diesel engines, transmissions, drive train components, electro-mechanical equipment, hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems, , gearboxes, generators, 12/24v electrical systems, equipment cabs and controls, chassis and suspension, rims, tires and wheels, forklifts, A/C systems, and a variety of other services equipment.
• Responsible in maintain container handling equipment (Reach stacker, Berge Handler, RTG, Cranes, Forklifts and Terminal Tractor).
• Responsible for ensuring the duties of their position are performed in a safe, efficient and effective manner.
• Performs preventive/predictive maintenance procedures on equipment.
• Performs inspections required by company
• Performs basic troubleshooting on electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Installs and/or replaces new or reconditioned repair parts.
• Tests equipment for proper operation.
• Requires basic understanding of electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic circuits/drawings/prints.
• Must complete proper paperwork as assigned.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
• Requires basic working knowledge of equipment operation and associated operating systems.

1.  Qualifications and Education Requirements

• Advance Certificate in relevant field.
• A combination of experience and qualifications may be considered.
• Minimum 2-3 years of experience in relevant field

 Role and Responsibilities

•  Install, inspect, maintain, and repair air conditioner.(Heavy Vehicle, Light Vehicle and equipment)
• Ventilate equipment and controls making sure they operate efficiently and continuously.
• Perform regular maintenance work on cooling units.
• Diagnose electrical and mechanical defects and malfunctions.
• Install, replace, or repair equipment that has been damaged.
• Adjustment and do calibrations of thermostatic controls.
• Install new air-conditioning systems and equipment.
• Clean blowers and coils, check tensions of belts and motors.
• Make plans and designs of new air-conditioning systems including their installation and maintenance.

• Assist workshop staff to ensure duties are being carried out efficiently and accurately.
• Assist workshop staff with preventative maintenance and servicing for all fleet and plant.
• Properly maintain materials, tools and equipment.
• Assist in cleaning and keeping the mechanical workshops and surrounds tidy.
• Assist with programming the service schedule for fleet and plant
• Other duties as directed by head mechanic/depot controller.
