State Electric Company Limited (STELCO) is seeking interested and suitably qualified candidate to fill the position of:

Position: Quality Assurance & Safety Management Consultant

Salary, and other allowances: Negotiable

Role Information:

STELCO is currently seeking a Quality Assurance & Safety Management Consultant to establish a quality assurance system in accordance with ISO 9001. The consultant should develop possible solutions to quality management issues, and must design how the necessary changes are to be implement.

Qualification Required:  

Masters of Science in Quality Assurance or in related field.

Experience and skills required:

1. 3-5 years of experience in Quality Assurance field.
2. 2-3 years of management experience.
3. Extensive experience with operational and system auditing, compliance and SOP development required.
4. Knowledge of quality and operations systems and processes, including ISO and QSR requirements.
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to coordinate with multiple teams.
6. Excellent analytical and abstract reasoning skills.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Review adequacy of internal systems and controls to ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.   
2. Identify company’s risk areas and prepare annual and periodic plans.
3. Provide service quality reports and management reviews.
4. Supervise, inspect & provide feedback on Sales Center operations, to improve customer satisfaction.
5. Assessing customer requirements and ensuring that these are met.
6. Setting customer service standards.
7. Investigating and setting standards for quality, health and safety.
8. Formulate and set Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) for service areas.
9. Acting as a catalyst for change and improvement in performance and quality.
10. Determining training needs.
11. Directing objectives to maximize profitability.
12. Recording, analyzing and distributing statistical information.
13. Monitoring performance.
14. Routinely provide guidance and leadership to engineers, inspectors and/or technicians for health & safety activities.
15. Provide feedback of quality and technique.
16. Keep abreast with the audit work process and promote continuous improvement.

Successful candidate will be awarded 1 (one) year employment contract, with the option of extension based on performance.
