INVITATION FOR BIDS   

1. The Ministry of Finance and Treasury, on behalf of Ministry of Defence and National Security (the Employer), did not receive sufficient response to the Invitation for Bids Ref (IUL)13-K1/13/2016/228 and therefore wish to annul the referred bidding process and re-invite bids from eligible and qualified bidders for the invites bids from local and international eligible and qualified bidders for the Finishing Works at Bandaara Koshi 9 Storey Building.

2. The bidder shall be a listed member of the National Contractors Registry and shall satisfy the GC01-1 grade in order to be eligible to participate in this tender,

The Bidder shall be registered to submit a bid upon payment of a non-refundable Registration fee of MVR 1,500/- (Maldivian Rufiyaa One thousand Five Hundred) for the project from31^st January 2017 to 23^rd February 2017between 0830hrs and 1300hrs on all working days. A complete set of bidding documents in electronic format shall be available for download from the Ministry of Finance and Treasury website www.finance.gov.mv

4. The Bidder shall furnish a bid security of MVR 175,000/-(Maldivian rufiyaa One hundred and Seventy five thousand) for the project. The Bid security shall be valid for 148 days from the date of bid opening. The amount of performance security shall be 5% of contract price. An advance payment of 15% of contract price will be provided upon submission of an advance payment guarantee.

5.  Pre-bid meetings will be held on 12^th February 2017 (Sunday) at 1100hrs Maldivian time at the Ministry of Finance and Treasury and any clarifications to the project may be sent to the address in clause 6 of this invitation for bids on or before 1400 Hours Maldivian Time on Tuesday, 14^th February 2017

6. Bids shall be valid for a period of 120 days from the date of bid opening and shall be delivered to the Ministry of Finance and Treasury at the address specified in Clause 9 of this Invitation for Bids, on or before 1100 hrs Maldivian Time on 26^th February 2017, at which time they will be opened in the presence of the Bidders who wish to attend the bid opening. Late bids will be rejected.
