for Seenu Hithadhoo Regional Hospital Project

The Government of the Republic of Maldives has received a funding from Saudi Fund for Development (SFD) and The OPEC Fund for International Development (OFID) and intends to apply part of the proceeds to eligible payments under the contract for hiring a Procurement Manager for the Project.

OBJECTIVES

The objective of this consultancy is to undertake and oversee all management and implementation activities which would contribute towards achieving efficient and effective procurement, installation and commissioning of all the equipment and related works of Seenu Hithadhoo Hospital Project. This includes but is not limited to the coordination of projects procurement and assurance of the construction.

DURATION

The estimated duration of this assignment will be one-year (12 Months) period with possible extension as per the project needs, during which the consultant will work as a contracted staff member of Ministry of Housing and Infrastructure.

SALARY: US$2,000.00

QUALIFICATION

Procurement Manager should:

• Minimum University Degree (Bachelors) in Business Administration or Management or Economics or a related field and a Minimum 3 years’ experience in procurement field.
• Familiarity with procurement guidelines of SFD, OFID or other donor parties and/or Project management experience will be an added advantage
• Should be available on a full-time basis for the duration of the contract
• Must be available for in-country travelling during the contract period
• Possess good command of English and Dhivehi language and excellent communication and negotiation skills
• Must have good knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Project) programs
