Request for Expressions of Interest

The government of Maldives has received Aid for the Enhancing Education Development Project (EEDP), administered by the World Bank and to be implemented by the Ministry of Education (MoE). Government of Maldives has proposed to further develop the Maldives Qualifications Authority (MQA) to strengthen higher education provision in the Maldives. With the support of a World Bank consultant, MQA has developed 3 guidelines which are essential for enhancing the implementation of MQA’s mandate.

The Ministry of Education seeks National Consultant to provide technical support to MQA in preparing all essential documents required for implementing the aforementioned guidelines, by the end of November 2016. The consultant is also expected to conduct relevant trainings based on these guidelines, by the end 2016. Expressions of Interest need to be submitted along with the CV, reference letter, validated documents supporting the candidate’s qualifications and experience, and the attested copy of ID card/Passport before 20^th July 2016, 14:00pm for the following position.

Individual Consultant

Objective

The objective of the consultancy is to provide technical support for the implementation of the 3 guidelines. These guidelines have been approved by the Governing Board of MQA to ensure the quality and sustainability of Higher Education programs conducted in the Maldives.

Terms of payment

The consultant will be hired as a specialist/consultant under the project and will be paid on completion of the assignment in accordance with the agreed rate.
