INVITATION FOR BIDS

  1. The Ministry of Finance and Treasury, on behalf of Ministry of Tourism - Regional Airports (the Employer), invites bids from eligible and qualified bidders for the following works.

 2. The bidder shall be a listed member of the National Contractors Registry and shall satisfy the grade specified in clause 1 of this Invitation for Bids in order to be eligible to participate for the respective tender. International contractors are eligible for bidding subject to registration with Ministry of Housing and Infrastructure if the bid is awarded.

 3. The Bidder shall be registered to submit a bid upon payment of a non-refundable Registration fee of MVR 1,500.00 (Maldivian Rufiyaa One Thousand Five Hundred) per tender from10^th April 2016 to 18^th May 2016between 0830hrs and 1330hrs on all working days. A complete set of bidding documents in electronic format shall be available for download from the Ministry of Finance and Treasury website www.finance.gov.mv

 4. The Bidder shall submit documentary evidence of no due payment to the Government of Maldives (Tax Clearance Report), obtained from Maldives Inland Revenue Authority. This document shall be dated no earlier than 10 (Ten) working days prior to the bid submission date.

 5. The Bidder shall furnish a bid security of the amount specified in clause 1 of this Invitation for Bids which shall be valid for 208 days from the date of bid opening. The amount of performance security shall be 5% of contract price. An advance payment of 15% of contract price will be provided upon submission of an advance payment guarantee.

 6. A pre-bid meeting will be held on 24^th April 2016 at 1000 hrs Maldivian time at the Public Procurement Section Meeting Room of the Ministry of Finance and Treasury. Any Clarifications to the project may be sent to the address in clause 8 of this invitation for bids on or before 1330 Hours Maldivian Time on Monday, 28^th April 2016.

 7. Bids shall be valid for a period of 120 days from the date of bid opening and shall be delivered to the Ministry of Finance and Treasury at the address specified in Clause 8 of this Invitation for Bids, on or before 1000 hrs. Maldivian Time on 19^th May 2016, at which time they will be opened in the presence of the Bidders who wish to attend the bid opening. Late bids will be rejected.
