BACKGROUND
State Trading Organization plc (STO), headquartered in the capital city of Maldives, Male’, which began operations in the year 1964 as a state- trader with the initial intent to have a central purchasing organization to raise living standards and encourage development in the country. Over the years STO has evolved from being a sole importer operating as a monopoly to a public listed company operating in a very dynamic and competitive environment.
Today STO has 4020 shareholders, employs more than 1740 locals and remains to be an enormous leading trader in the country. STO is active in a diverse portfolio of business ranging from staple foods, petroleum products, construction materials, pharmaceuticals, home improvement and electronics, domestic appliances, food and beverages, supermarket and more than 15 outlets and 186 pharmacies in different parts of the country. STO is looking for a party that would act as an affiliated partner for the development and construction of the Radisson Hotel Hulhumale’. Interested parties are to download the EOI document from STO website.

EOIs can be submitted by individual clients or jointly. Interested parties are requested to submit their EOIs, sealed and clearly marked, “Expression of Interest-Affiliated Partner for the development of Radisson Hotel – Hulhumale’ / Maldives”
EOIs submitted after deadline or failing to meet the requirements under the “Composition of EOI” may be rejected.
