INVITATION FOR BIDS

Construction of 8 Storey Accommodation Building at Bandaara Koshi

1. The Ministry of Finance and Treasury, on behalf of Ministry of Defence and National Security (the Employer), invites bids from eligible and qualified local bidders for the Construction of 8 Storey Accommodation Building at Bandaara Koshi.

2. The bidder shall be a listed member of the National Contractors Registry and shall satisfy GC01-01 grade in order to be eligible to participate in this tender.

3. The Bidder shall be registered to submit a bid upon payment of a non-refundable Registration fee of MVR 1,500.00 (Maldivian Rufiyaa One Thousand Five Hundred) from07^th December 2015 to 15^th December 2015 between 0830hrs and 1330hrs on all working days. A complete set of bidding documents in electronic format shall be available for download from the Ministry of Finance and Treasury website www.finance.gov.mv

4. The Bidder shall submit documentary evidence of no due payment to the Government of Maldives (Tax Clearance Report), obtained from Maldives Inland Revenue Authority. This document shall be dated no earlier than 10 (Ten) days prior to the bid submission date.

5. The Bidder shall furnish a bid security of MVR 200,000.00 (Maldivian Rufiyaa Two Hundred Thousand) which shall be valid for 118 days from the date of bid opening. The amount of performance security shall be 5% of contract price. An advance payment of 15% of contract price will be provided upon submission of an advance payment guarantee.

6. A pre-bid meeting will be held on 16^th December 2015 at 1100 hrs Maldivian time at the Tender Evaluation Section Meeting Room of the Ministry of Finance and Treasury.

7. Bids shall be valid for a period of 90 days from the date of bid opening and shall be delivered to the Ministry of Finance and Treasury at the address specified in Clause 8 of this Invitation for Bids, on or before 1100 hrs Maldivian Time on 31^st December 2015, at which time they will be opened in the presence of the Bidders who wish to attend the bid opening. Late bids will be rejected.
