IT Manager (Full Time)

Job Title:

To lead and oversee all IT operations within the Football

Association of Maldives (FAM), ensuring the seamless

Functioning of system and infrastructure.

Job Summary:

Salary:

• A Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Additional certificate in network management, cyber security, project management, or system administration are highly desirable.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in IT management, network administration, or system architecture. Prior experience in a sports organization or large-scale event management is an advantage.
• Proven ability to manage IT infrastructure, networks, databases, and cybersecurity frameworks.
• Familiarity with international football organizations such as FIFA or AFC is preferred.

Educational Qualification:

• Strong leadership and project management skills, capable of overseeing complex IT projects and managing a team of IT staff.
• Experience in handling IT for large-scale programs, events, or tournaments, including network setup, security, and live streaming.
• Proficiency in English and local languages to communicate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.

Experience:

• Exceptional problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to addressing technical challenges.
• Strong ability to coordinate with external IT service providers and vendors to ensure seamless operations.

Technical & Leadership Skills:

• High commitment to cybersecurity, data privacy, and maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information.
• Strong adherence to transparency, accountability, and ethical standards in managing FAM’s IT operations.

Ethical Standards:

• IT Strategy & Leadership:

-    Develops and implements IT strategies that align with FAM’s goals. Leads the IT team to ensure that the IT infrastructure supports all operational needs efficiently.

Responsibilities:

• Oversees the management of FAM’s IT systems, including servers, networks, and databases. Ensures all systems are secure, up-to-date, and capable of supporting day-to-day operations and major events.

System & Network Management:

• Develops and enforces cybersecurity policies to protect FAM’s data and systems from threats. Manages disaster recovery plans and ensures data backup procedures are in place.

Cybersecurity & Risk Management:

• Manages the IT support team to provide timely technical assistance to all FAM departments. Ensures minimal downtime and efficient troubleshooting of IT issues.

IT Support & Operations:

• Leads IT projects for FAM events and competitions, including setting up infrastructure for live streaming, network management, and technical support.

Project Management & Event IT:

• Negotiates contracts with IT service providers and manages the IT budget, ensuring cost-effective solutions without compromising service quality.

Vendor & Budget Management:

• Reports to the General Secretary and collaborates with all department heads to ensure IT operations meet FAM’s strategic objectives.
