Job Responsibilities

• In charge of the HSSEQ implementation in the Company
• Responsible for safety, health, quality, security, and environmental protection
• Review of Company policies and implementation of revisions
• Liaise with the vessels in safety and health, quality, security and environmental matters
• Establish annual audit plans, arrange and co-ordinate internal audits, take part in audits and follow-up correction actions
• To assist in arranging appropriate insurance conditions and covers (H&M, P&I, etc) with Company and crewing agents as co-insured for all full management vessels as per the Management Agreement and as directed by Owners, and monitor the validity of the policies
• To assist in monitoring and recording all hull and machinery and P&I claims and its eventual submission and or settlement and closure of claim files

Required Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Nautical Science (Ship Master)
• Certificate of Competency as Master Class 1 (Unlimited)

Preferred Requirements

• Minimum 5 year’s experience as Master in Command of vessel above 10K DWT
• Fluent in spoken and written English
• Experience in shore-based management of vessels will be an added bonus
