We, State Trading Organization Plc, hereby invite interested parties with expertise to submit expressions of interest (EOI) and register for buying scrap and/or used goods.

The registration process aims to establish a comprehensive directory of reputable businesses engaged in buying used goods.

Instructions for the Applicants:

1. Applicant must be a legal entity under Maldivian laws and possess a valid permit to engage in the trade of purchasing scrap and/or used goods.
2. Applicants must provide documented evidence showcasing their experience and expertise in the field of purchasing scrap and/or used goods. This may include past projects, client testimonials, or relevant certifications.
3. Applicants should disclose the location(s) of their warehouse facility, if applicable. The facility should be suitable for storage and the State Trade Organization (STO) shall have the authority to inspect and verify the spaces disclosed by the applicant.
4. Applicants are required to provide information regarding the delivery services offered for transportation of goods from the company's site to the necessary locations after the purchase of the scrap and/or used goods.
5. Applicants shall demonstrate a commitment to environmental sustainability and compliance with relevant environmental regulations.
6. Any additional services provided shall be mentioned in the EOI application.

Submission of EOI

1. EOI shall be typed and shall be signed by a person or persons, duly authorized.
2. The EOI shall be emailed to [email protected] clearly stated “EOI in the auctionregistration”
3. The deadline for receipt of Expression of Interest is before 1400 hours on 18^th March 2024.
4. STO may, at its discretion, extend this deadline for the submission of the EOI, in which case all rights and obligations of STO and Applicants previously subject to the deadline will thereafter be subject to the deadline as extended.
5. Any EOI received by STO after the deadline for submission of EOI will be rejected.
