INVITATION FOR BIDS

Design and Build Coastal protection Structures at 3 Islands.

1. The Ministry of Finance and Treasury, on behalf of Ministry of Environment and Energy (the Employer), invites bids from eligible and qualified bidders for the Design and Build Coastal protection Structures at Ha. Hoarafushi, Ha. Hoarafushi and Sh. Bilehfahi Island.

2. The bidder shall be a listed member of the National Contractors Registry and shall satisfy the following grades in order to be eligible to participate in this tender.

3. The Bidder shall be registered to submit a bid upon payment of a non-refundable Registration fee of MVR 1,500.00 (Maldivian Rufiyaa One Thousand Five Hundred) from13^th April 2015 to 22^nd April  2015 between 0830hrs and 1430hrs on all working days. A complete set of bidding documents in electronic format shall be available for download from the Ministry of Finance and Treasury website www.finance.gov.mv

4. The Bidder shall submit documentary evidence (No Due Report) of no due payment to the Government of Maldives, obtained from Maldives Inland Revenue Authority. This document shall be dated no earlier than 5 (Five) days prior to the bid submission date.

5. The Bidder shall furnish a bid security of MVR 800,000.00 (Maldivian Rufiyaa Eight Hundred Thousand) which shall be valid for 28 days beyond the validity of the Bid. The amount of performance security shall be 5% of contract price. An advance payment of 15% of contract price will be provided upon submission of an advance payment guarantee.

6. A pre-bid meeting will be held on 19^th April 2015 at 1300 hrs Maldivian time at the Tender Evaluation Section Meeting Room of the Ministry of Finance and Treasury.

7. Bids shall be valid for a period of 120 days from the date of bid opening and shall be delivered to the Ministry of Finance and Treasury at the address specified in Clause 8 of this Invitation for Bids, on or before 1300 hrs Maldivian Time on 29^th April 2015, at which time they will be opened in the presence of the Bidders who wish to attend the bid opening. Late bids will be rejected.
