1. The Ministry of Education has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the Maldives Atolls Education Development Project – AEDP (P177768), and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward the contract for Procurement of Tool Equipment for the General and Carpentry Skill Lab for AEDP School (SH, R, K, Dh, L, Gn, Male City).
2. The Ministry of Education of the Maldives now invites sealed Bids from eligible Bidders to deliver the goods within 45 days (earliest delivery date) of contract signing.
3. Bidding will be conducted through national competitive procurement using a Request for Bids (RFB) as specified in the World Bank’s “Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers” Procurement in Investment Project Financing- Goods, Works, Non-Consulting and Consulting Services, November 2020 introduced by the Bank under the Procurement Framework (“Procurement Regulations”), and is open to all eligible Bidders as defined in the Procurement Regulations.
4. Interested eligible Bidders may obtain further information by writing to [email protected], and inspect the bidding document before 07th March 2024, by 1200 Hours.
5. Evaluation would be conducted in 3 Stages as follows:
- 01st Stage - Technical Evaluation (All the proposed items should meet the MOE requirement)
- 02nd Stage - Post Qualification Evaluation
- 03rd Stage - Financial Evaluation
Bidder must pass in all the above mentioned Evaluation Stages in order to win the Bid.
6. Bids must be delivered to the address below on or before 10th March 2024, 1300 Hours Maldives Time. Electronic Bidding will not be permitted. Late bids will be rejected. Bids will be publicly opened in the presence of the Bidders’ designated representatives and anyone who chooses to attend at the address below on 10th March 2024, 1300 Hours Maldives Time. All Bids must be accompanied by a Bid Security of MVR 15,000.00 (Fifteen Thousand Maldivian Rufiyaa).
