The Project Management Consultant is a key role responsible for providing expert guidance and oversight throughout the lifecycle of construction projects at Fenaka Corporation. This role involves strategic planning, coordination, and management of various aspects of construction projects to ensure successful and timely completion within established budgets and quality standards. The Project Management Consultant serves as a vital link between stakeholders, project teams, and management, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.

Position Overview

The Project Management consultant will report to Deputy Managing Director on a daily basis and regular progress meetings and reports will be scheduled to ensure effective communication and collaboration throughout the project.

Reporting Relationship

 

(a)    A Master’s Degree or equivalent professional certification (MNQF level 9) in the field of project management or related field with 8 years of professional work experience at managerial level in a related field.

(b)    A Bachelors’ Degree or equivalent professional certification (MNQF level 7) in the field of project management or related field with 10 years of professional work experience at managerial level in a related field.

Requirements

a. Project Planning and Strategy

  • Develop comprehensive project plans outlining key milestones, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Conduct risk assessments and formulate strategies to mitigate potential risks.

b.Stakeholder Coordination

  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Facilitate effective communication and coordination among project team members.

c. Project Execution and Monitoring

  • Monitor and control project progress, promptly addressing any deviations from the project plan.
  • Implement quality control measures to uphold construction standards.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, building codes, and industry standards.

d.Budget Management

  • Manage project budgets, ensuring cost control and effective resource allocation.
  • Oversee the procurement process, including vendor selection and contract negotiations.

e. Reporting

  • Provide regular progress reports to the project steering committee or relevant authority.
  • Present key project updates and findings to stakeholders and management.
  1. f.  Problem Resolution
  • Proactively identify and address challenges, conflicts, and issues that may arise during the construction project.
  • Collaborate with the project team to find effective and timely solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strong project planning, budgeting, and risk management skills.
  • Knowledge of relevant building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Familiarity with procurement processes and contract management.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
  • Skill in fostering collaboration among diverse project teams.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related project management software.
  • Fluency in written and spoken Dhivehi and English language is essential.
