1. Maldives National Qualifications Framework level 10 qualification in a related field of Study; and minimum of 4 years of relevant work experience, that is inclusive of minimum 2 years’ experience in a managerial role.  OR

Fields:

Leadership and Administration:

  1. Develop, revise, and execute action plans and business strategies aligned with the University's strategic goals to advance the faculty's objectives. Foster participation from all stakeholders in the planning process.
  2. Shape faculty activities to align with the Faculty's Mandate, Action Plan, and Business Plan, focusing on achieving goals and fostering stakeholder engagement to enhance faculty operations.
  3. Provide proactive leadership, facilitate problem-solving, and inspire staff. Determine effective meeting structures for addressing various issues.
  4. Cultivate a culture of responsibility, rule adherence, and policy compliance. Serve as a role model for adherence to policies and procedures, and promote awareness among faculty members.
  5. Establish an administrative framework for daily faculty operations, ensuring strict adherence to procedures and standards.
  6. Coordinate the preparation of reports as required by government agencies, central authorities, other university institutions, and individuals, following prescribed procedures.
  7. Oversee and monitor faculty and program activities, ensuring quality and efficiency.
  8. Plan employee tasks, assess their work performance and take necessary steps.
  9. Collaborate closely with universities and centers to shape and reform university policies and develop faculty-specific policies.
  10. Conduct objective, evidence-based reviews of all aspects of faculty operations and make necessary modifications within defined timelines.
  11. Ensure timely completion of annual audits and management reviews for faculties/centers with established quality management systems.
  12. Expand and enhance faculty research efforts, develop research plans in line with the field, set annual research goals, and actively participate in research culture development.
  13. Recruit staff and implement measures to foster staff development, unity, and teamwork.

Communication and Relationships:

  1. Foster strong relationships with faculty staff and senior staff of the university.
  2. Address students' concerns, helping them navigate challenges and leading resolution efforts.
  3. Develop professional relationships with individuals who can contribute to faculty growth.

Educational Activities:

  1. Initiate new academic programs, activities, and course offerings, ensuring the fulfillment of existing courses.
  2. Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and implement high-quality courses aligning with job market needs and national development objectives.
  3. Identify opportunities for cross-faculty/departmental courses, and collaborate in course design and implementation.
  4. Identify and manage the discontinuation/abolishment of courses following prescribed procedures.
  5. Coordinate campus-based course offerings in consultation with campus managers.
  6. Lead the establishment of quality management system principles within the university and faculty.
  7. Provide guidance and support to students requiring additional assistance in faculty courses through appropriate channels.
  8. Manage the recruitment and coordination of part-time lecturers and other personnel for various educational activities.
  9. Ensure proper maintenance of student records and other faculty documentation in accordance with established rules and procedures.
  10. Research, recommend, procure, and maintain necessary software, equipment, and learning tools for course design.
  11. Spearhead the adoption of modern teaching and learning norms, identify and implement relevant technology, and develop student-centric teaching policies.
