REQUEST FOR BIDS

(One-Envelope Bidding Process)

1. The Ministry of Education has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the Maldives Atolls Education Development Project – AEDP (P177768), and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward the contract for Procurement of Computer Tables for 28 Schools. 

1. The Ministry of Education of the Maldives now invites sealed Bids from eligible Bidders to deliver the goods within 35 days (earliest delivery date) of contract signing.
2. Bidding will be conducted through national competitive procurement using a Request for Bids (RFB) as specified in the World Bank’s “Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers” Procurement in Investment Project Financing- Goods, Works, Non-Consulting and Consulting Services, November 2020 introduced by the Bank under the Procurement Framework (“Procurement Regulations”), and is open to all eligible Bidders as defined in the Procurement Regulations.
3. Interested Bidders may obtain further information by attending the information session held at the Ministry of Education on 12^th November 2023 (Sunday) 11:00 Maldives Time.
4. The bidding document and further information will be sent to interested bidders upon the submission of written request to the address below.
5. Bids must be delivered to the address below on or before 22^nd November 2023 (Wednesday) 11:00 Maldives Time. Electronic Bidding will not be permitted. Late bids will be rejected. Bids will be publicly opened in the presence of the Bidders’ designated representatives and anyone who chooses to attend at the address below on 22nd November 2023 (Wednesday) 11:00 Maldives Time. All Bids must be accompanied by a Bid Security of MVR 15,000.00. (Fifteen Thousand)
