The Secretariat of the Dhiggaru Council (“hereinafter referred to as the “Council”) invites eligible investors, local or foreign to register their interest within 10 (Ten) days by submitting a letter to design, development, operation, and Management of Funparu Lagoon (hereinafter referred to as the “Lagoon”) as an integrated tourism zone. 

(The Lagoon is attached as Annex I). 

Composition of the letter:

1. Letter of interest indicating:

Details of the individual or company or consortium including individual or company profile including Name, title address, email address, and telephone number.

1. Requesting individual or company must accept to pay the acquisition cost of the island.

Date of Closure for Receipt of Expression of Interest:

1. The Date of Closure for submission of EOI is 13th July 2023, at 1330 hours.

Information session for interested EOI Parties

Hence, interested parties may attend an online information session that will be organized in the Secretariat of the Dhiggaru Council, M. Atoll, Republic of Maldives. 16^th July 2023, at 1330 hours.

Evaluation Process

Upon receipt of the expression of interest, a preliminary evaluation based on the background and capacity of the parties will be conducted by the Secretariat of the Dhiggaru Council. If the Secretariat the Dhiggaru Council shall decide to proceed with the development and operation of an Integrated tourism zone with the nominated EOI proponents, the opportunity to submit the proposals (bid document) shall be issued.

The Bid Documents can be obtained from the Secretariat of the Dhiggaru Council. The Bid Documents will be available to purchase from 17^th July 2023, at 1330 hours.

The Bid application submission to the Secretariat of the Dhiggaru Council on 6^th August 2023, at 1330 hours.
