Nurse – EMT Firefighter Trainee

Minimum Qualification & Experience

Completed certificate level 4 in Nursing.

OR 

Certificate in Emergency Medical Technician from an MQA approved institute.

Additional training required:

Successfully complete Basic Airport Firefighter Course after being selected to the position.

Responsibilities

  • Attend aircraft / domestic incidents and accidents and perform rescue and firefighting operations/ Ambulance duties.
  • Attend to all fires/emergencies and provide emergency medical assistance as required.
  • Attend Emergency Medical Calls.
  • Participate in drill lectures, fire exercises and physical training.
  • Develop and conduct first aid and related medical trainings to ARFF personnel.
  • Perform cleaning and upkeep of fire station and fire/medical equipment.
  • Inspect, test and report on fire safety equipment under ARFF.
  • Check all available items and equipment carried on ARFF fire Vehicles / Ambulance/ vessels and ascertain their serviceability.
  • Perform Watch Room Duty.
  • Maintain a state of alertness.
  • Be familiar with and follow ARFF Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Shall be medically and physically fit as per ARFF Medical/physical Requirement (refer to SOP).

MVR 9,000

Junior Firefighter Trainee

Minimum Qualification & Experience

O’Level pass (Grade D and above) in 3 subjects including English Language

Additional training required:

  • Complete Basic Airport Firefighter Course
  • Pass the physical Fitness Test (IPPT & PAT) Pass the medical Exam

Responsibilities

  • Attend to aircraft / domestic incidents and accidents and perform rescue and firefighting operations/ duties
  • Attend all fires/emergencies.
  • Perform special services. Wash down fuel spillage, fire escort, hot work standby, fueling standby, hazardous cargo standby etc. (Ref SOP)
  • Participate in drill. lectures, fire exercises and physical training
  • Perform cleaning and upkeep of fire station and fire equipment.
  • Inspect, test and report on fire safety equipment under ARFF.
  • Check all available items and equipment carried on ARFF fire Vehicles / vessels and ascertain their service ability
  • Perform Watch Room Duty
  • Maintain a state of alertness.
  • Be familiar with and follow ARFF Standard Operating Procedures
  • Shall be medically and physically fit as per ARFF Medical/physical Requirement (refer SOP).

Basic Salary

MVR 8,000

Daily Allowance per working day
