For training on market research and product development- TIME EXTENSION

1.    INTRODUCTION

Male’ Water and Sewerage Company Pvt. Ltd. (MWSC) requests proposals from qualified contractors to provide training and consultancy services for market research and product development.

The selected contractor will be asked to work in close collaboration with and in support of MWSC’s Marketing & Public Relations Team in providing the training and consultancy services.

 

2.    SCOPE

The main objective of the consulting services is to build capacity of the staff in market research on use of various data collection & compilations techniques, forecasting, analytics, and development of markets based on modeling/research results. The consultant would be responsible to provide training and consultancy for market research and product development as per the guidelines provided by MWSC.

The detailed scope of services required to be delivered are as follows:

 

  1. Facilitate and provide training to the staff based on the proposed training program set in the proposal plan
  2. Conduct a collaboration research projects to understand application of the theory and practices.

3.    OTHER REQUIRMENTS

 

In order to achieve the objectives of this plan, the contractor shall:

  1. Arrange and conduct meetings and consultation sessions with MWSC, required for the duration of the project.
  2. Work with MWSC Marketing & Public Relations Team in finalizing the topics.
  3. Existing research practices: Under the guidance of MWSC, the consultant will conduct review of the existing research methods and techniques used by MWSC. The purpose of this review is to understand the content, data collections and analysis methods. The consultant will collect relevant forms of data collection and compilation whenever possible for inclusion into technical annex.
  4. The consultant will conduct interviewer and desk reviews with relevant personnel in the company who are responsible for market research. The aim of this activity would be to understand the existing and future market research requirements.
  5. Language: Based on the understanding of the MWSC training requirements all the courses shall be delivered in English most of the time and if necessary, in Dhivehi could be use whenever relevant.  For the language courses, trainers shall be proficient in both English and Dhivehi language of the training.
  6. Develop an assessment toolkit, which includes an evaluation to be administered both at the beginning and end of trainings to measure the impact of training.
  7. Target & Number of participants: most of the staffs possess graduation qualifications. Training course target to all staff independently of their functional level who are involved in market research. The conduct training for 15-20 participants.
  • Feedbacks: Collate feedback from the participants and finalize training materials detailed RFP and scope to be shared during the information session.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

  • The bidder (single firm, company, partnership, or other legal entity) shall be registered in the Republic of Maldives;
  • The above must be fully supported by including all the following documents in the bidders’ proposal. Failure to include any will render the bidder ineligible and nonresponsive, leading to disqualification of the bid.
  • Copy of Company Registration Certificate
  • Company Profile Information sheet issued by the Ministry of Economic Development
  • Copy of Bidders National Identity Card
  • GST Registration Certificate
  • MIRA Tax Clearance Report (past 6 months from the date of bid submission)
  • Bid Form or RFP form ( All sections completed, signed, and stamped)
