Support vulnerable communities in Maldives to manage climate change-induced water shortages- Monitoring and Evaluation Officer (M&E Officer)

The Government of the Republic of Maldives through the Ministry of Environment, Climate Change and Technology (MECT) is implementing “Water Supply Systems” financed by Green Climate Fund (GCF) and intends to apply part of the proceeds for the services of a full time Monitoring and Evaluation Officer to assist the water projects administered by the Ministry of Environment, Climate Change and Technology in collaboration with United Nations Development Project (UNDP).

The objective of this assignment is to set up evaluation and monitoring strategy and framework to evaluate the implementation of activities of the project to ensure all outputs are delivered smoothly and on time.

The Ministry of Environment, Climate Change and Technology (MECT) now invites interested eligible individual consultants to submit their application.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the position the individual is expected to demonstrate the requirements as per the attached ‘Terms of Reference”.

Schedule for the Assignment

Duration of the assignment is 06 months from the commencement of the works. Successful candidate is expected to commence the services in January 2023.

Renumeration

Successful individual will be paid an all-inclusive monthly fee of MVR 34,740.00.

Submissions submitted by hard copy should state the Job title, Address in this advertisement, and the submission deadline of the advertisement. Emails submissions should have the name of the applicant and the job tile in the Subject of the email. The ministry will send a confirmation of receipt via email.

Documents to be Submitted

- Letter of Expression of interest

- Curriculum Vitae (clearly stating the starting and ending month for previous experiences)

- Copy of National ID Card

- Accredited copies of Academic Certificates (Documents accepted are copy of accredited certificates/ Letter of completion from the university together with a written document from Maldives Qualification Authority stating that the course completed is accredited to a certain level.)

- Candidates currently working in the Civil Service should provide a letter of no objection from their current employer.

Note: Shortlisted candidates will be asked to submit sample Portfolio of Previous works in a presentation format.
