Upgrading of Waste and Resource Management Center (WRMC) in Gan, Laamu Atoll - 2nd tender
The Government of Republic of Maldives represented by Ministry of Environment, Climate Change and Technology (MoECCT) has received financing from The World bank and intends to apply portion of the financing for eligible payments under the contract under the contract for the project Upgrading of Waste and Resource Management Center (WRMC) in Gan, Laamu Atoll under Maldives Clean Environment Project. The bids received for the advertisement no: (IUL)438-WMPC/438/2022/220 has been cancelled, and the Ministry re-invites sealed bids from eligible and qualified bidders for the 2nd tender of this project.
Tender Document and Bill of Quantities (B.O.Q) is uploaded to the national gazette with this invitation.

Bidding will be conducted through international competitive procurement using a Request for Bids (RFB) as specified in the World Bank’s “Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers” World Bank Procurement Regulations for Borrowers under Investment Project Financing, dated July 1, 2016, setting forth the World Bank’s policy on conflict of interest (“Procurement Regulations”), and is open to all Bidders as defined in the Procurement Regulations.
Bid Registration
Interested bidders shall be registered to submit a bid. Registration will be open from the time of the publishing of this invitation until, 05th December 2022 via Email to [email protected] stating Reference No. of this Invitation, Project Name, Company name, email address and contact number. This tender is only open for registered parties.
Pre-bid Meeting
A pre-bid meeting will be held in NCIT building on November 24, 2022. Those Parties like to attened the pre-bid meeting virtually, using an online platform on 1100 Hours Maldivian time on November 24, 2022. Bidders who have not yet registered, may obtain further information by writing to the address below on or before 1300 Hours Maldivian time on November 22, 2022.
Bid Security
The bidder shall furnish a bid security of MVR 24,000 ( Twenty-Four Thousand) or equivalent in USD for the project. The bid security shall be valid for 118 days from the date of the bid opening.
Bid Validity and Bid Opening
Bids shall be valid for a period of 90 calendar days from the date of bid opening and shall be submitted to the NCIT building, Ministry of Environment, Climate Change and Technology, before 11:00 AM (Maldivian Time ) on 8th December 2022. Electronic Bidding will not be permitted and Late bids shall be rejected.
The bids will be opened at 11:00AM on 8th December 2022 in the presence of the bidders or their representatives, who wish to attend the bid opening.
