Job Responsibilities

1. Reports to and works under the Director of Projects Department.
2. Complete design surveys for all the water and sewer projects operated by FENAKA Corporation Limited.
3. Visit project sites and survey the water and sewer works. Give site-specific recommendations where necessary to ensure all the water and sewer works are performed according to Environment Protection Agency (EPA) guidelines.
4. Provide technical assistance and advice to FENAKA in monitoring and to carry out the project works effectively.
5. Liaise with the Engineers in designing of water and sewer systems in the islands and preparation of technical documents (Detailed design and Tender documents) and review contract documents.
6. Assist in the review/evaluation of project reports and documents with the relevant authorities.
7. Complete tasks related to Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA)

Requirements

1. A bachelor’s degree or higher in Surveying or in a related field.
2. Minimum 2 years’ experience in surveying of the local environment (topographic and hydrodynamic).
3. Broad knowledge and understanding of the local environment.
4. Excellent analytical skills.
5. Ability to work independently with a high degree of responsibility, in a flexible manner and often under pressure.
6. Proficiency in English language would be an added advantage.
7. Experience in survey related software would be added advantage.
8. Experience with a wide range of survey equipment would be an added advantage.
9. Experience and training in water and sanitation related surveying would be an added advantage.
