MINIMUM QUALIFICATION & REQUIREMENT

1. Masters or MNQF level 9 qualification with minimum 1 years’ experience in relevant field (OR)
2. Degree or MNQF Level 7 qualification with minimum 5 years’ experience in relevant field.

OVERALL SCOPE
Coordinating the Environmental assessments, modeling and environmental policy formulation for Hulhumale’.

SCOPE OF WORK
• Plan and conduct studies of the environment and of the population, distribution, structure and functional characteristics and behavior of plants and animals; aiding in the overall greening and urban planning.
• Conduct ecological and environmental impact and monitoring studies and prepare reports.
• Study, identify, classify and report plant and animal specimens and coordinate with the required authorities; including non-governmental organizations.
• Conduct controlled trials in the assigned areas to propagate and manage plant or animals in the built environment.
• Assist in preparing policies related to the environment and urban planning.
• Prepare reports and plans for management of available environmental resources.
• Participate in the development of policies; environmental, community health and safety, social, urban planning, end engineering by providing advice to senior government managers.
• Direct, advise and consult health or social policy researchers, engineering teams, civic leaders, social scientists, lawyers, land developers, the public, urban planners and special interest groups in environmental matters.
• Review and evaluate proposals for land use and development plans and prepare recommendations.
• Carryout training programs in environment related field.
• Supervise the work carried out by the assigned team.

JOB SKILLS AND SPECIFICATIONS
• Familiarity with Environmental monitoring and assessment software packages will be an added advantage.
• Should be registered as an EIA consultant / specialist at EPA.
• Should be able to conduct environmental impact assessments.
• Requires to work in both office and the field for data collection and monitoring.
• Should be familiar with Microsoft Office Package.
• Should be able to work as an individual and as a flexible team player.

SALARY PACKAGE

Gross Salary negotiable based on qualifications and experience.
