Housing Development Finance Corporation (HDFC) PLC, established in January 2004, is the only specialized housing finance institution in the Maldives. HDFC is a privatized institution with 51% shares held jointly by IFC, ADB and HDFC Investments Ltd. of India with the Government of Maldives holding the balance 49%. HDFC Amna is the Islamic Window of the Housing Development Finance Corporation (HDFC) Plc. In our continuous effort to improve housing finance solutions to the Maldivian citizens, we have launched a number of Shariah products under HDFC Amna, which was inaugurated on May 26, 2012. In order to carry out the duties and responsibilities of the Islamic Division of HDFC, we seek a vibrant and dedicated candidate to lead the AMNA Team of the company in the capacity as a Senior Manager.

Job Description

• Ensure daily operations are carried out in compliance with the AMNA policies and procedures.
• Maintain, monitor and present statistics of AMNA facilities and related reports in coordination with the head of Credit.
• Maintain and follow up on AMNA portfolio / database to improve turnaround time of facilities
• Monitor execution of AMNA facilities (mortgage, contractor, and facility agreements) and coordinate with the relevant officers on speeding up the process
• Monitor monthly targets of AMNA approvals and disbursements to meet annual targets
• Oversee the achievement of key performance indicators (KPI) and enhance the level of productivity to bring about synergies through liaison with other departments.
• Develop and streamline the existing process and strengthen monitoring mechanism to effectively manage all AMNA operations.
• Train staff of AMNA, guide and lead the team members to deliver services effectively

    Job Requirements

• Masters in Islamic Finance with minimum 3 years of experience in Islamic Finance (preference will be given to those candidates specialized in Banking or Financial Services)
• Ability to work efficiently to solve problems in a logical and analytical manner with good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Candidate must be able to work independently with minimum supervision
• Candidate must have matured, pleasant personality with good disposition
• Candidate must have good knowledge and understanding of Islamic products and structures

Salary:  Negotiable commensurate with qualifications and experience
