  1. The Ministry of Education has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the Learning and Measurement Advancement Project - LAMP (P172631, RE), and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contract for Provision of tablets for students in KS1 (grades 1 & 2) in islands under monitoring and SEN children in other islands.
  2. The Ministry of Education of Maldives now invites sealed Bids from eligible Bidders for 1,350 Tablets (with Accessories) required for KS1 students in islands under monitoring and SEN children in other islands within 4 months to Ministry of Education.
  3. Bidding will be conducted through international competitive procurement using a Request for Bids (RFB) as specified in the World Bank’s “Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers” Procurement in Investment Project Financing- Goods, Works, Non-Consulting and Consulting Services, July 2016 Revised November 2017 and August 2018 introduced by the Bank under the Procurement Framework (“Procurement Regulations”) and is open to all eligible Bidders as defined in the Procurement Regulations.
  4. Interested eligible Bidders may obtain further information from Ministry of Education, Mohamed Shamooh, Implementation Officer, [email protected]and inspect the bidding document during office hours 0830 to 1330 hours Maldives Time at the address given below.
  5. The bidding document in English may be downloaded by interested Bidders upon the submission of a written application to the address below and from the Ministry of Education website (https://www.moe.gov.mv) free of charge. The document will be sent electronically. Latest information related to bid will be downloadable and updated in the Ministry’s website.
  6. Bids must be delivered to the address below on or before 15th July 2021 (Thursday) 1300 hours Maldives TimeElectronic Bidding will not be permitted. Late Bids will be rejected. Bids will be publicly opened in the presence of the Bidders’ designated representatives and anyone who chooses to attend at the address below on 15th July 2021 (Thursday) 1300 hours Maldives Time.
  7. All Bids must be accompanied by a Bid Security of MVR 30,000.00 or USD 1,945.00
