Consultant to give technical support to re-brand Maldives Polytechnic

 

The Government of Maldives (GoM) is implementing the “Maldives: Enhancing Employability and Resilience of Youth (MEERY)” Project. The project is funded by the World Bank. The objective of the project is to improve the relevance of technical and vocational skills and foster entrepreneurship to promote youth employment in priority sectors. The project is administered by the Ministry of Higher Education (MoHE), with a Project Steering Committee that will be co-chaired by the MoHE and the Ministry of Economic Development.

 

As part of this project MoHE seeks eligible individual consultant to submit expressions of interest according to the Term of Reference. The detail terms of reference for the consultancy is available to download from the gazette. Expressions of Interest need to be submitted on or before 12:00 pm, 30th December 2019.

 

Terms of Reference

Duration of service and terms of payment

The service is for a period of 4 months from the date of signing the contract. The consultant will be hired as a specialist/consultant under the project. This is a time-based contract and the payment will be paid monthly basis as per the national pay commission.

Note: Consulting services will be selected in accordance with the ‘World Bank Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers’ Procurement in Investment Project Financing- Goods, Works, Non-Consulting and Consulting Services, July 2016 Revised November 2017 and August 2018 introduced by the Bank under the Procurement Framework (hereafter referred to as the “Regulations”).
