POST:  Financial Controller

DEPARTMENT: Finance and Accounts

Hulhumale’ Hospital, managed by Aasandha Company Ltd is seeking applications from qualified candidates for the above mentioned post, to undertake all aspects of financial management, including corporate accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, budget and forecasts preparation, as well as development of internal control policies and procedures.

REQUIREMENTS:

• 5+ years of experience in a managerial accounting position
• Master’s Degree in Accounting & Finance and/or a member of CPA / CIMA / ACCA. Preference will be given to candidates with a professional accounting qualification.
• Fluent in Dhivehi/English both written and spoken
• Excellent management skills
• Proficiency with accounting software / Microsoft Office Applications.

              RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances
• Prepare timely monthly/quarterly/bi annual and annual financial reports
• Coordinate internal and external audits
• Manage and comply with government reporting requirements and tax filings
• Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
• Ensure to implement and monitor standards, policies and procedures of the company to direct reporting employees.
• Analyse and evaluate the financial implications of business projects and investments
• Manage cash flow and forecasting; direct all financial, project-based, and departmental accounting.

LOCATION / AGREEMENT

Workplace: Hulhumale’ Hospital, Hulhumale’

Working hours: 8 am – 4 pm (Sunday to Thursday)

This will be an initial 1-year agreement, subject to renewal upon satisfactorily performance.
